Homeschool Classroom Terms and Conditions
Version 1.0
Effective Date: August 21, 2026
Last Updated: August 21, 2026
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern applications, enrollment, participation, and use of services provided by Homeschool Classroom, Inc. ("Homeschool Classroom," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting an application, signing an enrollment agreement, making a payment, accessing the parent portal, or allowing a student to participate in our services, the parent or legal guardian ("Parent," "you," or "your") agrees to these Terms.
If these Terms conflict with a signed enrollment agreement, the signed enrollment agreement controls for the specific enrollment, fees, schedule, and services addressed in that agreement.
Main Points at a Glance
This section is a plain-language summary intended to make the Terms easier to understand. The complete sections below provide additional detail and control if a summary and the full Terms differ.
Homeschool Classroom is an educational support program, not a school or childcare provider. Parents remain responsible for their home-education program, curriculum decisions, and applicable legal requirements.
Tuition is $225 per student per week for a reserved seat. The weekly charge reserves capacity and staffing and is due whether or not the student attends.
Attendance is recorded for safety and accountability. It documents which students were in our care and supports staff oversight; it is not school attendance reporting or a basis for grades or course credit.
There are no makeup days or makeup assignments for absences. A missed day, vacation, late arrival, or early pickup does not reduce the weekly charge.
Closures do not automatically create refunds or credits. If Homeschool Classroom is closed for more than three consecutive business days, we may offer a refund, credit, adjustment, alternate service, or another accommodation at our discretion.
Tuition or approved funding must be current at drop-off. We do not presently charge a payment late fee, but a student will not be admitted when the account is not current.
Each enrollment covers a scheduled three-hour instructional block. Homeschool Classroom takes timely pickup seriously because it is not a childcare service. Late-pickup fees and enrollment review may apply under the late-pickup policy.
Parents must keep safety and authorization information current. This includes emergency contacts, allergies, medication information, custody restrictions, and authorized pickup and student-information recipients.
Required communications are part of the service. Families may receive enrollment, scheduling, billing, portal, safety, session-summary, work-sample, and student-related communications electronically. Marketing consent is separate.
Withdrawal must be submitted in writing. Families may use the withdrawal form available through the website and email it to info@homeschoolclassroom.net. Homeschool Classroom will confirm the effective date in writing.
Educational results are not guaranteed. Progress depends on attendance, participation, curriculum, family follow-through, and other factors outside Homeschool Classroom's control.
1. Nature of the Program
Homeschool Classroom provides in-person educational support through two 90-minute instructional sessions that together form one three-hour block. Services may include structured learning time, small-group and individualized instruction, enrichment, educational monitoring, work-sample documentation, and related student services for home-education families.
Unless we expressly state otherwise in a signed agreement, Homeschool Classroom is not acting as a public school, private school, school district, legal representative, medical provider, mental-health provider, or diagnostic provider. The Parent remains responsible for establishing and maintaining the student's home-education program, selecting or approving curriculum, making educational decisions, and satisfying applicable notice, portfolio, evaluation, attendance, and other legal requirements.
We may assist families with records, portfolios, annual evaluations, scholarship administration, or educational planning when those services are included in the enrollment or purchased separately. Assistance does not transfer the Parent's legal responsibility for the student's home-education program.
2. Applications and Enrollment
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, placement, a particular schedule, or a start date. Enrollment becomes effective only after Homeschool Classroom has accepted the application and all required enrollment steps have been completed, which may include:
accurate application and emergency-contact information;
required student records and photographs;
an executed enrollment agreement and other required acknowledgments;
payment arrangements, scholarship authorization, or both;
payment of applicable enrollment fees or initial tuition; and
confirmation of an available placement and start date.
We may request additional information when reasonably necessary to evaluate whether we can safely and appropriately serve the student. The Parent agrees that information supplied during application and enrollment is accurate and complete and will promptly notify us of material changes.
3. Educational Services and Curriculum
Services may include core academic support, project-based learning, enrichment, executive-function support, study skills, educational assessments, progress monitoring, session summaries, digital portfolio support, and other services described in the student's enrollment documents.
The Parent is responsible for providing, selecting, or approving the student's curriculum unless a signed agreement states otherwise. Homeschool Classroom may use supplemental resources, including IXL or similar educational platforms, when appropriate.
We may adjust instructional methods, groupings, activities, staff assignments, classroom routines, or supplemental materials based on student needs, staffing, safety, and program operations, provided that the general nature of the enrolled service is not materially changed without notice.
4. No Guarantee of Results
Homeschool Classroom does not guarantee any particular grade, test score, academic improvement, annual-evaluation result, promotion, graduation outcome, scholarship decision, behavioral outcome, or acceptance by another school or program. Educational progress depends on many factors outside our control, including attendance, participation, student effort, curriculum choices, family follow-through, health, and outside circumstances.
Educational observations, session notes, skill reviews, and assessments are informational and instructional. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, or legal diagnoses.
5. Parent and Student Responsibilities
The Parent agrees to:
provide accurate contact, health, allergy, medication, emergency, pickup, and educational information;
keep all contact and authorization information current;
ensure timely attendance, arrival, and pickup;
provide required curriculum, devices, materials, meals, medication, or supplies identified in the enrollment documents;
communicate absences and material changes promptly;
review invoices, notices, session summaries, and account communications;
maintain the student's home-education compliance unless otherwise stated in writing; and
cooperate with reasonable safety, behavior, and program procedures.
Students are expected to behave safely and respectfully toward other students, families, staff, visitors, equipment, and property. Homeschool Classroom may use age-appropriate interventions and may require a meeting, modified participation plan, temporary suspension, or withdrawal when behavior materially affects safety or the learning environment.
6. Attendance, Absences, Reserved Seats, and Program Closures
The program ordinarily operates Monday through Friday. Each three-hour block consists of two 90-minute instructional sessions. Exact operating times and individual schedules are established in the enrollment documents or subsequent written confirmation and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Homeschool Classroom records attendance for student safety, accountability, operational oversight, and documentation of which students were in our care at a particular time. Attendance records are not intended to represent school attendance reporting, grading, course credit, or enforcement of compulsory-attendance requirements.
Weekly tuition is $225 per student and reserves the student's seat, program capacity, and staffing for that week. Tuition is charged for the reserved seat rather than the student's daily attendance. A student absence, family vacation, late arrival, early pickup, or decision not to attend does not reduce, prorate, or eliminate the weekly charge. Parents are encouraged to report absences for safety and planning, but Homeschool Classroom does not require makeup assignments and does not provide makeup days or replacement services for student absences.
Homeschool Classroom may change schedules or close for planned breaks, holidays, emergencies, severe weather, facility issues, staffing limitations, public-safety concerns, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. We will provide notice when practicable. A closure does not automatically create a refund, tuition credit, prorated charge, or makeup day.
When Homeschool Classroom is closed for more than three consecutive business days, we may, in our discretion, issue a refund, credit, tuition adjustment, alternate service, or other accommodation. Weekends do not interrupt the counting of consecutive business days; for example, a closure on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday is three consecutive business days. No adjustment is guaranteed unless Homeschool Classroom confirms it in writing.
7. Arrival, Release, and Late Pickup
Students will be released only to an authorized person, subject to Homeschool Classroom's identification and release procedures. The Parent is responsible for maintaining an accurate authorized-pickup list and for promptly reporting restrictions or changes. We may require government-issued photo identification before releasing a student.
Pickup is late when actual departure occurs more than five minutes after the student's scheduled departure time. Each late-pickup event is reviewed before a strike or fee is applied. Under the current late-pickup policy:
the first approved strike in a policy year may result in a $50 fee;
the second approved strike in the same policy year may result in a $150 fee; and
a third approved strike may result in a high-priority enrollment review and possible termination.
Strikes reset on the anniversary of the student's enrollment date. Homeschool Classroom may excuse or dismiss an event after reviewing documented circumstances. The complete current late-pickup policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Health, Medication, Emergencies, and Safety
The Parent must disclose information reasonably necessary to serve the student safely, including allergies, medical conditions, emergency instructions, behavioral or sensory needs, and medications that may be needed during program hours.
Homeschool Classroom is an educational service and is not a school, daycare, or childcare provider. Enrollment covers the student's scheduled three-hour instructional block. Homeschool Classroom does not provide medical or mental-health treatment and staff do not administer routine or emergency medication. Parents must arrange medication needs in advance and should not leave medication with staff unless Homeschool Classroom has adopted and communicated a written procedure permitting it.
In an emergency, we may contact emergency services and the student's emergency contacts and may take reasonable steps to protect the student and others. The Parent remains responsible for emergency medical costs.
If a student cannot safely participate without staff-administered medication or medical care, the Parent must contact Homeschool Classroom before attendance so the parties can determine whether a safe arrangement is available. Homeschool Classroom may require updated information or an individualized safety plan before participation.
9. Tuition, Fees, and Payment
Tuition is $225 per student per week for a reserved seat in the student's scheduled three-hour instructional block. Families may pay or allocate eligible funding in advance. Enrollment fees, deposits, billing frequency, due dates, and any other charges will be described in the applicable program offering or enrollment agreement. The Parent is financially responsible for charges not paid by a scholarship, funding organization, or other third party.
Payments may be processed through Stripe or another disclosed payment processor. If the Parent authorizes automatic payment, recurring or off-session charges will be governed by the separate payment authorization and enrollment agreement. The Parent must maintain valid payment information and promptly report billing errors.
Homeschool Classroom does not presently charge a late-payment fee. However, a student whose tuition or approved funding is not current at the time of drop-off will not be admitted for services. Past-due balances may result in reminders, failed-payment follow-up, suspension of services, loss of placement, collection activity, or termination as permitted by the enrollment agreement and applicable law.
Payments and allocations may be made in advance. Except where a signed agreement or applicable law provides otherwise, refunds and account credits are issued only at Homeschool Classroom's discretion. Homeschool Classroom does not guarantee a refund for a student absence, unused reserved seat, schedule conflict, or ordinary closure.
10. Scholarship and Third-Party Funding
Homeschool Classroom may accept eligible Step Up For Students scholarship funds or other third-party funding. Eligibility, preauthorization, reimbursement, and payment decisions are controlled by the applicable funding organization, not Homeschool Classroom.
Unless prohibited by law or agreed otherwise in writing, the Parent remains responsible for services rendered, fees denied or not covered, expired or insufficient funding, delayed funding, reversals, and amounts that the funding organization determines are the Parent's responsibility.
The Parent agrees to provide required funding documentation and complete approvals within applicable deadlines. Homeschool Classroom does not guarantee that any service or expense will be approved or reimbursed.
11. Withdrawal, Suspension, and Termination
The Parent may withdraw a student by submitting written notice to info@homeschoolclassroom.net. Homeschool Classroom may provide a standard withdrawal-notice form through its website footer for convenience. The notice should identify the student, the person submitting the notice, the requested final date of participation, and current contact information.
Withdrawal becomes effective at the end of the current paid week. Previously paid tuition is nonrefundable, and no additional weekly tuition will be charged after the effective withdrawal date. Homeschool Classroom will confirm the effective date in writing. Submission of a withdrawal notice does not waive charges or other obligations incurred before that date.
Homeschool Classroom may suspend or terminate participation for reasons including nonpayment, repeated late pickup, unsafe conduct, material misrepresentation, failure to provide necessary information, persistent violation of program policies, inability to safely meet the student's needs, or circumstances that materially disrupt program operations.
Whenever reasonably practicable, Homeschool Classroom will communicate concerns and allow an opportunity to address them before termination, except when immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or protection of students, families, staff, or property.
Refunds connected with withdrawal remain discretionary unless a signed enrollment agreement or applicable law requires otherwise. Records requested by an authorized Parent will be handled under the Privacy Practices and any applicable record-verification procedures.
12. Electronic Communications and Records
By submitting an application or participating in Homeschool Classroom services, the Parent agrees to receive required service-related communications electronically using the contact information provided. These communications may include application and enrollment notices, agreements, scheduling information, attendance or pickup notices, billing statements and reminders, payment links, account and portal notices, student session summaries, work samples, progress information, safety notices, and support communications.
Required service communications are not marketing messages. Marketing or promotional email or text-message consent, when offered, will be handled separately. SMS messages will be sent only under the applicable SMS consent and opt-out process.
The Parent is responsible for maintaining a current email address and telephone number, reviewing messages, and notifying Homeschool Classroom if electronic delivery is unavailable. Electronic signatures, acknowledgments, records, and notices may be used to the extent permitted by law.
13. Student Records, Session Summaries, and Work Samples
Homeschool Classroom may create and maintain attendance records, instructional notes, learning-readiness observations, outcomes, support strategies, next steps, photographs of student work, uploaded assignments, completed work samples, portfolio materials, and other service records.
These records may be provided to the Primary Contact and to other contacts specifically authorized to receive information about that student. The Parent is responsible for reviewing portfolio materials and determining whether they satisfy the family's legal or evaluation needs. Homeschool Classroom does not guarantee that any particular record, summary, or work sample will independently satisfy a legal portfolio or annual-evaluation requirement.
The Parent may submit photographs, documents, and student work for educational documentation. The Parent represents that they are authorized to provide those materials. Student records and work samples will not be used for public advertising or promotional purposes without separate permission when permission is required.
14. Parent Portal and Technology
Homeschool Classroom may provide access to a parent portal, payment pages, electronic agreements, email delivery, educational platforms, and related online services. The Parent must protect account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Third-party systems may occasionally be unavailable. Homeschool Classroom will use reasonable efforts to restore access or provide an alternative, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of third-party platforms.
15. Intellectual Property
Homeschool Classroom retains ownership of its original curriculum supplements, forms, templates, instructional methods, website content, branding, and other proprietary materials. Families may use materials provided to them for the enrolled student's personal educational use. Materials may not be sold, published, copied for unrelated students, or commercially distributed without written permission.
Students and families retain ownership of their original student work, subject to Homeschool Classroom's right to store, reproduce, and share it as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain records, create the student's portfolio, and communicate with authorized recipients.
16. Privacy
Our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal and student information are described in the Homeschool Classroom Privacy Practices, incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Parent agrees to provide information only for individuals the Parent is authorized to identify or enroll.
17. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Homeschool Classroom is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the services, third-party platforms, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Any limitation based on fees paid, waiver, indemnification obligation, or release of claims must also comply with the signed enrollment agreement and applicable law.
18. Changes to Services or Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in services, law, technology, or operations. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means and will carry a revised effective date. Changes will not retroactively alter payment or service obligations already fixed in a signed enrollment agreement unless agreed in writing or required by law.
19. Governing Law and Severability
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Before filing a non-emergency legal claim, the Parent and Homeschool Classroom are encouraged to give written notice of the dispute and make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally. Nothing in this paragraph prevents either party from seeking urgent relief or exercising a right that cannot legally be limited.
