Homeschool Classroom is a home education support program for K–12 students who are homeschooled and need a supportive place to learn during the day.
We are not a school or daycare. Parents remain the school of record and are responsible for their child’s home education compliance. Our role is to come alongside actively homeschooling families with structure, academic support, enrichment opportunities, portfolio documentation, and end-of-year evaluation support.

For Families Who Want to Homeschool, But Need Support to Make It Work
Homeschool Classroom was created for parents who want a different educational path for their child but feel like homeschooling alone may not be realistic.
Some parents feel unqualified to teach every subject. Some are working during the day. Some do not have the right environment at home. Some have children who need a smaller, calmer, more individualized setting than a traditional classroom can provide.
We serve K–12 homeschooling families, including students who may need extra support, flexibility, structure, or connection.
This may include students with ADHD, autism, anxiety, dyslexia, giftedness, executive functioning challenges, or students who simply do not thrive in a traditional school environment.

What We Provide
A Balanced Morning of Academics and Enrichment
Each program day includes two consecutive 90-minute sessions: one dedicated to core academic learning and one dedicated to enrichment. This structure gives students focused time to strengthen essential skills while also exploring interests, developing creativity, and learning beyond their core curriculum.
Core Learning Support
During the academic block, students work on parent-selected curriculum and core subject areas such as English language arts, math, science, history, and life skills.
Our team helps students stay on task, understand assignments, practice skills, complete work, and move through their learning plan with support.
Parent-Chosen Curriculum
Parents choose or provide the curriculum for their child.
Homeschool Classroom helps implement and support that curriculum during the day. IXL is also available as a supplemental learning tool for students who need additional practice or skill support.
Enrichment Activities
Students may participate in rotating enrichment activities such as cooking, gardening, carpentry, small engines, art, music, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, science experiments, outdoor learning, social skills, self-care, and other student-interest-led projects.
Enrichment activities rotate based on student interests, staff planning, materials, and seasonal opportunities.
Student Portfolios
As students complete work, we help document their learning through an ongoing digital portfolio.
Portfolios may include scans, photos, completed assignments, project documentation, work samples, and other records that help parents stay connected and organized.
End-of-Year Evaluation Support
Homeschool Classroom helps families maintain documentation that may support end-of-year evaluation needs.
Parents remain responsible for meeting home education requirements, but our portfolio process is designed to make recordkeeping more consistent and manageable.
When Students Attend
Consistent Mornings Designed for Meaningful Learning
Homeschool Classroom meets Monday through Friday. Our educational program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., except on scheduled holidays and closures.
Two Purposeful 90-Minute Sessions
Our 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. program is divided into two consecutive 90-minute sessions.
The first session focuses on core academics, curriculum progress, and individual learning goals. The second session focuses on enrichment through engaging activities that encourage creativity, exploration, practical skills, and meaningful connections.
Together, these two focused sessions provide students with a balanced morning of academic progress and enriching learning experiences
Arrival & Dismissal
Students should arrive before the educational block begins so they are checked in and ready to learn by 9:00 a.m.
Dismissal takes place at 12:00 p.m. Families should plan for prompt pickup at the end of the program day.
Consistent Schedules
Each student attends according to the schedule established during enrollment.
Consistent attendance helps students develop routines, maintain academic momentum, and benefit fully from the relationships and personalized support available at Homeschool Classroom. Families receive the program calendar and information about scheduled holidays and closures in advance.

Homeschool Classroom serves families in Tallahassee, Leon County, and the surrounding Big Bend area.
Our physical location will be shared when available and added to the website footer or enrollment materials at the appropriate time.
The goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and practical learning environment for local homeschooling families who need more support during the day.

How It Works
Parents Lead the Homeschool. We Support the Day-to-Day Learning.
Homeschool Classroom works alongside the parent, not in place of the parent.
Parents remain the school of record and are responsible for their child’s home education program. Homeschool Classroom provides support during the day by helping students work through curriculum, participate in enrichment, document completed work, and build a consistent learning rhythm.
Families choose or provide the curriculum that fits their child’s needs.
Our team helps support the student as they work through that curriculum during the academic block.
Step 1: Parents Enroll Their Student
Step 2: Students Attend During Program Hours
Students attend Homeschool Classroom during the family’s chosen schedule within our operating hours. The academic block from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. provides the structure for focused learning.
Step 3: Students Receive Support and Enrichment
Throughout the day, students receive academic guidance, redirection, encouragement, and opportunities for hands-on enrichment.
The goal is to support both academic progress and whole-child development.
Step 4: Work Is Documented in a Digital Portfolio
As students complete assignments, projects, and learning activities, their work is documented in a digital portfolio.
Parents can access portfolio information through the parent portal, helping them stay connected to their child’s learning.
Step 5: Families Stay Supported
Homeschool Classroom helps families stay organized, informed, and better prepared for end-of-year evaluation needs.
Parents remain responsible for compliance, but they do not have to manage every part of the learning day alone.
